Paying It Forward...

In addition to the effect of Prison of Peace programs, processes, and events in prison facilities, thousands of inmate family members have been positively affected by the skills learned by their incarcerated loved ones.  Due to the extended reach of this program by our inmate peacemakers to other inmates around them, countless other families have been impacted. 

Prison of Peace has transcended the confines of prison.  Over 1,100 Prison of Peace alumni have been released on parole, with more joining them every month.   They are not just statistics, but individuals with jobs, in school, building families,  and serving their communities and Prison of Peace.  Their hard-earned peace has granted them freedom and they are making a tangible difference!

As of December 2023, Prison of Peace has employed 22 of its formerly incarcerated trainers as Staff Trainers on a part-time basis. With often insurmountable barriers to employment, this opportunity provides a bridge from prison to successful employment.
